Washington, D.C. – All4Ed announced today that it has received a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York (Carnegie) to strengthen and expand the work of All4Ed’s State Policy Center, which provides policy proposals, resources, and real-time technical assistance to state legislators, Governors, state agencies, and education policy organizations working to improve student outcomes and close opportunity gaps.
The investment from Carnegie will support All4Ed in expanding resources, and deepening technical assistance and partnership with state policymakers, education leaders, and advocates to advance equitable state-level policies, including those aimed at college and career pathways and readiness.
“All4Ed is honored to receive this generous support from Carnegie Corporation of New York,” said Amy Loyd, CEO of All4Ed. “Strong state policy is essential to ensuring that all students—especially those historically underserved—have access to rigorous learning, personalized supports, and pathways that open doors to their future. This grant will allow us to scale our impact, provide actionable resources for state leaders, and continue building a more equitable education system.”
“This grant reflects Carnegie’s commitment to advancing economic mobility through education,” said Saskia Levy Thompson, program director for Education at Carnegie. “All4Ed’s State Policy Center equips local leaders with timely, practical support to strengthen schools as engines of mobility and expand college and career pathways — essential building blocks of long-term opportunity for young people.”
The State Policy Center serves as a trusted resource for governors’ offices, state departments of education, legislators, and advocates, offering nonpartisan policy analysis, technical assistance, and evidence-based recommendations. Through the CCNY grant, the State Policy Center will expand access to high-quality, mobility-engine high schools and strengthen the capacity of state-level policymakers and advocates to advance effective education.
“We are grateful for the Carnegie investment, which will allow us to strengthen our state partnerships and respond quickly to the needs of policymakers,” said Jenn Ellis, Director of State Government Relations at All4Ed. “With this support, we can help leaders craft solutions that are rooted in equity and focused on long-term results, so state education policies can reflect the deep expertise of state education leaders and educators and be responsive to the unique needs of students in our fast-changing world.”
