On January 31, 2017 the Alliance for Excellent Education (the Alliance) and the Global Learning Network (GLN) held a webinar to highlight the release of a new issue brief on schools and districts that use the OECD Test for Schools to drive improvement efforts.
Developed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the OECD Test for Schools is a school-level test based on the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA). School leaders who give the assessment receive an integrated, information-rich report that identifies student performance and provides information about factors such as motivation and confidence. The OECD Test for Schools functions like an index of the factors that matter for student success and allows educators to develop a road map for continuous change and improved student achievement.
The Alliance’s new report, The OECD Test for Schools: How Three School Systems are Improving Student Achievement, profiles two school districts and one school that use the Test for Schools to monitor student academic outcomes and inform teaching practice to meet student learning needs, and this webinar features two school leaders who share a fierce commitment to preparing students for success in an increasingly globalized economy by focusing on real-world knowledge and skills.
