“All4Ed stands strong for the community of Uvalde, Texas. Our hearts are broken as yet one more senseless shooting has stolen the lives of children and their teachers at Robb Elementary School. Schools should be safe havens for America’s youth and the dedicated educators who work tirelessly to ensure safe and healthy learning environments. As a country, we have failed to make this a reality for far too long. It is time for this tragic storyline to end. We urge Congress and state lawmakers to act with urgency to pass common sense gun laws, including strong background checks, that make it more difficult for guns to get into the wrong hands. Additionally, schools need to receive appropriate resources to respond to mental wellness needs that are becoming more pronounced. Let’s demonstrate the commitment we have to America’s youth now.”
