Statement by All4Ed on the release of the National Education Technology Plan

Washington, DC – All4Ed is proud to support the U.S. Department of Education’s National Education Technology Plan (NETP), an initiative that underscores the transformative power of technology in education. All4Ed is honored to have played a collaborative role in its development.

Our Future Ready Schoolsnetwork, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Education, facilitated essential listening sessions with school district leaders nationwide. These sessions provided an invaluable opportunity to gather insights and perspectives from the field, ensuring that the NETP is firmly rooted in the realities faced by school and district leaders.

The Future Ready Framework championed by All4Ed aligns seamlessly with the NETP’s three pillars of Digital Use Divide, Digital Design Divide, and Digital Access Divide, reinforcing our commitment to fostering a future-ready education system. This alignment reflects our shared dedication to preparing students for success in the digital age by integrating technology effectively into teaching and learning.

“The NETP reflects the importance of a strong education technology system, and the pivotal role teachers play in the educational experiences of our young people. It will help further All4Ed’s mission of ensuring that each learner is provided a personalized experience in school,” said Sara White Hall, Vice President of Innovations and Networks at All4Ed and a national expert on digital learning policy and instructional technology practice. “We will continue to support our district and school leaders as they implement the NETP 2024 with cutting-edge resources, professional learning events, and a newly updated readiness assessment.”

In addition to our collaborative efforts on the ground, All4Ed will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that effective education policy is rooted in a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by educators and students alike – from classroom to Congress.

At All4Ed, we believe that the work starts in the classroom, and the policies governing education should be a direct reflection of the needs and aspirations of America’s students. The NETP exemplifies our commitment to ensuring that every student has access to a high-quality, future-ready education.

As we look to the future, All4Ed remains dedicated to collaborative efforts that advance education policy and practice. We express our gratitude to the U.S. Department of Education for its leadership and commitment to the NETP, and we look forward to continued partnership in realizing the vision of a future-ready education system.
