All4Ed Comments on Proposed Revision to Perkins V Consolidated Annual Report
All4Ed strongly opposes the U.S. Department of Education’s proposal to revert the Perkins V Consolidated Annual Report to its previous version, citing major concerns about the loss of critical data collection, transparency, and accountability measures. These proposed rollbacks would eliminate consistent definitions, disaggregated outcome data, industry credential tracking, and middle-grade reporting—undermining efforts to identify equity gaps and improve Career and Technical Education (CTE) nationwide. All4Ed urges the Department to maintain these improvements and instead support states through technical assistance, phased implementation, and streamlined processes to ensure CTE remains a strong, equitable pathway to economic opportunity for all students.

Statement from All4Ed CEO Amy Loyd on President Trump’s FY26 Budget Proposal
The Trump administration’s FY2026 budget proposal, quietly released late last Friday, outlines a sweeping $12 billion (15%) cut to the U.S. Department of Education—posing a direct threat to vulnerable student populations. The proposal would eliminate or consolidate funding for critical programs supporting students with disabilities, English learners, migrant students, and those in low-income or underserved communities. It also slashes higher education support, including Pell Grants and Federal Work Study, while weakening civil rights protections by dismantling the Department’s Office for Civil Rights. All4Ed warns that these cuts are not about efficiency—they are deliberate choices that jeopardize equity, opportunity, and the future of millions of learners.

Letter from All4Ed CEO Amy Loyd to Senate Leadership Opposing Reconciliation Package
In a powerful letter to Senate leadership, All4Ed CEO Amy Loyd expresses grave concern over a proposed reconciliation package that threatens to dismantle foundational supports for America’s most vulnerable students and families. The legislation’s deep cuts to education funding, student aid, healthcare, and nutrition programs represent an unprecedented rollback of equity-focused policies. Loyd warns that the $20 billion private school voucher program, massive reductions in federal student aid, and changes to Medicaid and SNAP will have devastating consequences—particularly for rural communities, low-income families, and students with disabilities. She calls on Congress to reject the bill and instead reinvest in proven public education programs that reflect our national values of equity, opportunity, and justice for all.
