On February 23, 2017, the sixth annual Digital Learning Day (DLDay), educators and students from around the country participated in a nationwide celebration highlighting great teaching and demonstrating how technology can improve student outcomes. This webinar highlighted DLDay events from around the country while also providing important and practical information for superintendents, principals, teachers, and librarians.
Specifically, the webinar focused on the challenges—funding and otherwise—and solutions to building out a school district’s technology infrastructure in order to provide high-speed connections to the internet that are so vital to twenty-first-century teaching and learning. It also featured advice and tips for librarians and teachers from digital innovators on how to take advantage of connected classrooms to build rigorous and relevant lesson plans and other activities that can engage today’s students and prepare them for success.
