As Future Ready Tech Leaders, we are used to dealing with some form of daily crisis. That said, none of us could have predicted the massive shift to online learning caused by COVID-19. We’ve all been forced to change the way we think about learning and how we can support our learners remotely. From 24-hour remote tech support to ensuring all of our students have access to the internet, many of the challenges we’ve been forced to overcome have happened literally overnight.
The need for quality teaching and learning with technology in (and now out) of our schools has never been greater. As schools scramble to cover learning objectives in a variety of ways, tech leaders are here to support and coach them through the process. Online learning looks very different than learning in a classroom. As we do our best to triage our schools and communities, we hope to use this space to provide resources and share best practices from many of the greatest tech minds in education. These resources can be found on the Future Ready Tech Leaders page
In addition, we are creating resources and posts around best practices surrounding the following questions –
- What are your strategies for deploying devices to the community?
- How do you get internet access to families without?
- How are you providing IT support remotely?
- How are your teachers distributing school work?
- What positive side-effects and outcomes have come from this?
As a jumping off point, we’ve started brainstorming ideas from tech leaders around the country on this Padlet.
