Education Department Now Accepting Applications for Comprehensive Literacy State Development Grants
The U.S. Department of Education (ED) is now accepting applications for its Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD) Grants program.
CLSD grants are competitive grants to state education agencies to advance literacy skills through evidence-based practices, activities, and interventions, including pre-literacy skills, reading, and writing. Funding from the grants is meant to serve children from birth through grade 12, with an emphasis on disadvantaged children, including children from low-income families, English learners, and children with disabilities.
The deadline to apply is Monday, June 3. More information is available in the Federal Register notice published on May 3.
