“The congressional budget resolution is an important step forward for our nation’s families and schools to deal with the most pressing issues arising from the pandemic, particularly resources to begin addressing learning loss for millions of students. As Congress develops the reconciliation bill, it is critical for funding to be included for schools to reopen safely, address the homework gap for the millions of families who still do not have access to home internet or digital devices, and allocate resources to assist families who are homeless or housing insecure. We must do everything we can to remove barriers that prevent all students from thriving—our children deserve nothing less.”
