Sixteen states and the District of Columbia have submitted new accountability and improvement plans to the U.S. Department of Education under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Today’s Federal Flash examines whether these ESSA plans promote equity and excellence for all students, especially those who have been historically underserved.
