This week was a busy one for education policy in Washington, DC:
The Senate’s education committee voted on Dr. John King’s nomination to serve as U.S. Secretary of Education; Dr. King testified before the Senate’s education committee on President Obama’s education budget; The U.S. Department of Education took another step forward on implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA); and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) unveiled a proposal to better deliver broadband internet access to low-income families.
