Erin Frew is the principal of New Tech West High School in Cleveland, Ohio. The technology-rich, project-based learning-focused charter school is seeing strong academic gains from low-income students. Ms. Frew describes how the Common Core State Standards are supporting the school’s efforts in English and in math, particularly to deepen and enrich student understanding.

    I appreciate Project Based Learning and Problem Based Learning in Math and how used in Formative Assessments and not just Summative Assessments. As Erin Frew mentioned in another CCSS & Equity Webinar of Educators Telling their Stories: Students should understand whats Expected!
