‘Tech buddies’ pair up for Digital DayA pair of first and fourth graders at Mountain View Elementary School stood at the interactive whiteboard and explained to their peers all about beavers. Moving through a series of slides, they explained what beavers look like, what they eat and what their habitat is. The boys concluded with a fun fact: Beavers can hold their breath for about 15 minutes. “That’s a long time,” said Boladz. The kids and students applauded.It was part of Digital Learning Day, a national event promoted by the Center for Digital Learning and Policy. It’s designed for schools to increase their knowledge and understanding of how best to use technology to support students’ learning, said David Huber, Mountain View principal.
