State spends $2,500 less per pupil than U.S. average
Mississippi spends less per child on public education than do 44 other states and the District of Columbia, according to a new report on 2010 public education finances released Thursday by the U.S. Census Bureau. ... It obtained graduation rates from the Building A Grad Nation 2012 Report by Civic Enterprises, John Hopkins University, America's Promise Alliance, Alliance for Excellent Education.
