New emphasis on high school needed to improve U.S. education, expert says
If America wants to reverse its falling educational rankings in the world, it should look first to what’s been most neglected: the nation’s high schools and high school graduation rates, a former West Virginia governor said Monday. ... “We need to be telling (students) high school is not the finish line, it’s the start,” said Bob Wise, now president of the Alliance for Excellent Education.
