Mountainview holds Digital Learning Day

Textbooks and worksheets took a backseat role Friday, March 13, as Mountainview Elementary School took part in National Digital Learning Day. Principal Karen Collins said the school hosted a “No Paper and Pencil Day” back in 2011 to sharpen the students’ skills with computer technology. However, it caught the attention of the Alliance for Excellent Education, a Washington, D.C.–based national policy and advocacy organization, and the first National Digital Learning Day was held at schools across the country the following year.
