Improving graduation rates is a boost for the economy

Most people understand that the more education a person has, the more he or she is likely to earn over a lifetime. Data from the 2010 U.S. Census Bureau shows that a high school dropout earned an average of $21,023, compared to $31,283 for a high school graduate and $58,613 for someone with a bachelor’s degree.
