Guest Column: Diverting Kids from Jail is Good for Everyone
As the state’s website notes, diverting kids from the juvenile justice system before arrest for minor first time offenses saves tons of money as well as the futures of the children who are able to avail themselves of the program ... The Alliance for Excellent Education calculates that high school dropouts earn $7,840 less each year than high school grads.
