I work at a level in education where students who graduate from Volusia, Flagler and other Florida and out-of-state high schools come for a university education...The writing crisis in this nation was discussed in "Writing Next: Effective Strategies to Improve Writing of Adolescents in Middle and High Schools," commissioned by Carnegie Corp. of New York and published by the Alliance for Excellent Education in 2006.
