New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is fighting to reinstate taxpayer-funded college classes for prison inmates, a program that was defunded in the 1990s. The move has prompted debates over higher education in state prisons. NPR

Prince George’s County in Maryland will hold two information sessions for parents on the school district’s dual enrollment program, which would allow high school students to enroll in college-level courses. The Washington Post
