Take a look at these great ideas on what you can do on Digital Learning Day!
This flyer, created by library media specialist Robyn Young from Avon High School in Indiana, includes recommendations for teachers and ideas that technology leaders, principals, or district leaders can encourage educators to do on Digital Learning Day. We recommend you use these ideas or develop your own based upon her recommendation.
Homework for the Weekend:
No one likes homework over the weekend, but this is an easy task that can really help spread the word about Digital Learning Day! For the weekend, please copy this message into an email and send it to at least ten of your colleagues, your principal, and other district leader:
As a fellow educator who is passionate about the potential for the effective use of technology for students, I want to call your attention to the first-ever Digital Learning Day campaign and encourage you to sign-up to learn more today.
Thirty-six states, covering 84 percent of U.S. students, are officially hosting their own version of Digital Learning Day and thousands of educators and nearly 500,000 students are currently represented in registrations! This national campaign is designed to celebrate innovative teaching and highlight practices that make learning more personalized and engaging for students.
By signing up now, you will have access to targeted toolkits outlining ideas and ways to plan their Digital Learning Day celebration, as well as updates, informational videos, webinars, and other resources.
On Wednesday, February 1, 2012 a National Town Hall Meeting will be held at 1:00 pm ET to highlight and celebrate participants across the nation. Additionally, the morning and afternoon will include virtual events from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm ET and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm ET.
