Deeper Learning Digest: When Digital Learning Fosters Deeper Learning
March 01, 2019 01:55 pm

Technology can be a powerful way to support deeper learning. Don’t believe it? Take a look at how thousands of students and teachers use technology to bring learning to life.
Today’s digest highlights examples of effective use of technology in classrooms, how teachers can design for deeper learning, and news from the Deeper Learning Equity Fellows.
Technology Supports Deeper Learning on Digital Learning Day
When used effectively, technology can foster deeper learning environments in classrooms. Yesterday, a national celebration of great teaching and technology, Digital Learning Day (DLDay), showcased just how true this is, with countless examples of students collaborating, solving problems, and communicating with their peers and instructors, all while using digital tools.
Students also conducted research on projects, explored potential career pathways, prepared for job searching by writing resumes and conducting mock interviews, and worked toward independent learning goals.
But don’t take our word for it. See real examples of students in action bringing their learning to life with the help of technology in these #DLDay tweets.
