The Alliance for Excellent Education (All4Ed) recently released a new analysis of ten states’ implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Our ESSA Accountability Results snapshots examine school-level data in ten states to provide a first-of-its-kind look at school ratings and the identification of low-performing schools under ESSA—specifically, to evaluate how well states’ new accountability systems reflect the performance of subgroups of students and promote equity.
