The majority of states that have adopted the Common Core State Standards will continue as planned with implementation, according to a new survey by the Center for Education Policy at George Washington University. The Washington Post
Maryland is hosting what it calls “academies” this summer to help teachers master the new material they’ll be teaching as part of the Common Core State Standards. Teachers across the nation are gearing up to teach to the more rigorous standards. NPR
