Wyoming currently can’t meet the timeline required of the No Child Left Behind waiver so they plan to wait a year to request one. In the meantime, the Wyoming Department of Education requested a different waiver to freeze bench markets for student progress at 2012 levels for a year. Star Tribune

A new study shows a strong correlation between high school exit exams and rates of incarceration. The study found a 12.5% increase in rates of incarceration among students who failed exit exams and were denied a diploma as a result.Living in Dialogue

Congress is back in session, and one of the first orders of business is finding a way to reverse the doubling on some student loan interest rates. “We need to get it resolved,” a Democratic leadership aid said. Politico
