Colorado is asking taxpayers to approve a $1 billion tax increase to increase funding for schools. If approved, the additional funding will amount to one of the most ambitious and sweeping education overhauls in the country. The New York Times

An adult education program in Washington is seeing incredible success at getting the non-traditional students into the workforce. More than 20 states are looking to adopt similar programs. The program is called Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training. NPR
