44 States Plus Washington, DC Have Adopted Common Standards

Last Friday in Maine, Governor Paul LePage signed the Common Core standards bill into law after it passed both the state House and Senate unanimously. That makes Maine the 44th state plus Washington, DC to adopt the standards. That translates into 86 percent of the U.S. student population and 88 percent of the total U.S. population being “covered” by common standards. To learn more about the initiative, visit here
